Peng Ke

Peng Ke was born in 1992 in Liao Sha, Hunan Province, and grew up in Shenzhen. She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in photography in 2015 and now lives and works in Shanghai and Los Angeles. Her camera plays the role of a wanderer in the city, searching for a sense of order in public space and infrastructure, and records the chaotic interconnected contingencies of daily life. Her style is calm and relaxed, she describes it as "like looking for a rainbow in a bleak city".

Her works have been exhibited in galleries in major cities in China and the United States, and she has also held numerous solo exhibitions around the world. She participated in the 3rd Beijing International Photography Biennale, and was awarded the Abigail Cohen Documentary Photography Scholarship, and was nominated for the Paul Huf Award and the Jimei-Arles Discovery Award at the Foam Museum of Photography in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
